Individually wrapped applicators are packaged dry with approximately 2.6 grams of microbicidal Betadine® Solution stored in the handle of the applicator. Antiseptic solution is released into the 1 ^3/8 -inch-long, soft foam swab head by gently squeezing the 4-inch-long plastic handle.

ACTIONS

Reduces bacterial load and the risk of infection.

INDICATIONS

For degerming skin and mucous membranes. Provides sufficient antiseptic solution for most kinds of site prepping--including prior to IM injections, venous punctures, and minor surgical procedures.

ADMINISTRATION

Gently squeeze plastic handle. This allows the release of the antiseptic solution into the foam swab head. Apply to prep site with the moistened foam tip, working in a circular motion from inside to the outside. Apply as often as needed.

WARNINGS

For External Use Only. Do not use in the eyes. Discontinue use if irritation and redness develop. Do not heat prior to application.
